The Art Of High Touch In A High Tech World

Why its Still Important to Build Personal Relationships in Business & In Life

I wrote this book because I believe relationships are the glue that holds everything together—whether it’s in business or life. In today’s world, where technology often replaces real conversations, we’re losing the human touch that makes connections meaningful. This book is my way of showing how we can rebuild those relationships, even in a high-tech world, and why doing so is more important now than ever.

Inside, you’ll find practical tools and stories from my life and career. I’ve managed to connect with people from all walks of life—those with everything and those with next to nothing. My experience has taught me that real communication and empathy can solve even the toughest problems, whether it’s building a stronger team at work, resolving conflicts, or simply understanding someone better. These lessons are simple but powerful, and they work in both business and personal life.

This isn’t a book full of theories or big words. It’s real advice from someone who’s been in the trenches, figuring things out one step at a time. My hope is that these ideas help you strengthen your relationships, lower your stress, and maybe even fall in love with your work and life all over again.

  • You’ll learn how to connect with your team and clients in ways that build trust, boost morale, and increase success.
  • You’ll keep seeing frustrated employees, unhappy clients, and a workplace filled with tension and inefficiency.
  • You’ll gain insights and practical strategies that people will praise you for, as they see the change in your leadership approach.
  • You’ll have the confidence to handle conflicts and tough conversations, setting the tone for a stronger, united team.
  • You’ll finally break free from the cycle of stress, burnout, and constant tension by addressing the root cause of relationship breakdowns.
  • You’ll finally achieve the balance you dream of—a workplace and personal life filled with strong, healthy connections and reduced stress.

You Can Connect & Engage On...

I’m 61 years old and have spent my life learning from real experiences, not textbooks. Growing up, we didn’t have much, but those challenges shaped who I am today. My mom worked hard to raise three kids with almost nothing, and her sacrifices taught me the importance of resilience, kindness, and putting others first. She’s my hero and the reason I’ve always believed that relationships are what matter most.

I didn’t go far in school—just finished high school by the skin of my teeth. But life had other lessons for me. Over the years, I climbed my way up and eventually led a company with over 1,000 employees. I figured out how to connect with people, solve problems, and create a team that worked together. These lessons weren’t just for work—they’ve helped me in my personal life too. It’s proof that you don’t need fancy degrees; you just need to understand people and build trust.

My proudest achievement isn’t my career, though—it’s my two daughters. Seeing them grow into kind, hardworking adults makes everything I’ve been through worth it. They remind me every day that relationships are what matter most. This book is my way of sharing the tools and lessons I’ve learned, so you can build stronger connections in your own life too.

  • Grew from humble beginnings to lead over 1,000 employees in a large company.
  • Learned people skills through life experiences, not theory or degrees.
  • Built lasting relationships with people from all walks of life.
  • Navigated a successful career with only a high school education.
  • Proud father of two daughters, showing the value of family and personal connections.

Introduction of High touch

This chapter introduces high touch, a value-driven approach that puts empathy and care at the forefront. Explore how small, thoughtful actions can rebuild relationships in a fast-paced, disconnected world. A way of life

High touch is more than a concept; it’s a way of living. This chapter reflects on the strength of relationships built on trust, shared experiences, and meaningful conversations. It contrasts these values with today’s digital challenges, urging readers to rediscover the importance of genuine human connection.

Things start to change

When reading this book, I found myself relating to so much of what the author was saying, It isn’t hard to get back to high touch world, we as humans need to know when to shut down our technology and focus on face to face conversations. This world would be in a much better place if we connected with people rather than our technology. Thank you so kindly for writing this book. What an inspiration.
